Fundraisers
Fundraisers are an essential part of the PTA's work so that we can fund key initiatives at the Hall and Mitchell schools. We have regularly scheduled fundraisers every year - and we have new fundraisers in the works. We would be delighted if you would like to help out with the fundraisers in any way. Check them out!
Fall Flower Bulb Fundraiser
Every fall the PTA has a flower bulb fundraiser in partnership with Dutch Mill Bulbs. Flower bulbs are available for purchase either online or from a brochure. The PTA receives 50% of all proceeds!
Spirit Wear Sale
The Spirit Wear Sale happens every year during the second half of November. We have awesome Waterville Elementary Schools spirit wear swag featuring Waffles the Panther Cub!
Online Charity Auction
The Online Charity Auction is conducted in partnership with Colby College. Local businesses and artists donate items to the auction, which are then sold on an online auction platform. The auction usually takes place at the end of November and the beginning of December.
We need volunteers to:
- Coordinate the auction with Colby College
- Recruit local businesses and artists to donate items for the auction

Ski-Skate Swap
Swap out the skis and skates that your children have outgrown at the Ski-Skate Swap. The Ski-Skate Swap is held toward the end of October or the beginning of November.
We need volunteers to:
- Move equipment from long-term storage to the Ski-Skate Swap location
- Receive equipment during the equipment drop-off period the day before the event
- Conduct the ski-skate swaps at the event
- Set up and clean up the Ski-Skate Swap
- Move leftover equipment from the Ski-Skate Swap location back into long-term storage
Read-A-Thon
The Read-A-Thon is an excellent way to promote learning and fundraising at the same time.
We need volunteers to:
- Help plan the Read-A-Thon
- Publicize the Read-A-Thon
- Recruit sponsors
