At Waterville PTA, we know that small acts of collaboration can lead to big impact and this week, that spirit truly shined.
As president, I recently shared the 2025–2026 National PTA + Happy Coffee Donation Opportunity with our team, inviting anyone with a little time to help submit the application. The offer? Over 7,000 Happy coffee pods to energize and appreciate our hardworking teachers and staff.
Mary Pletcher graciously answered the call and submitted the coffee application, but she didn’t stop there. On her own initiative, she discovered and applied for a second opportunity: the 2025–2026 National PTA + Kidde Alarm Donation, which could bring 160 life-saving alarms (80 smoke alarms and 80 carbon monoxide alarms) to families in our community.

Her extra effort could mean safer homes and more peace of mind for those we serve. It’s a perfect example of how one person’s care can ripple outward.
This is what advocacy looks like. A quick email, a generous response, and initiative that could bring comfort and safety to hundreds. Thank you, Mary, for going above and beyond and thank you to everyone who continues to build bridges in our school community.
Let’s keep showing up for each other. Together, we make good things happen. If you would like to volunteer to be on our mailing list and for additional opprotunities in what we do please consider filling out the following form.
Our community feedback survey is another way to give back!
Warm Regards,
David Motel
President of the Waterville PTA
