Sarah Le Van will continue as the communication coordinator until a volunteer is found.

Last Year’s Fundraising

• A family trivia night has been added to the event calendar due to its success with families.
• No online auction was done last year, but may change this year as it is to be determined by Colby College.

Open House

• George J. Mitchell School: August 27th, 4-5 PM
• Albert S. Hall School: August 26th, 4-5 PM

Volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, flyers, and promotional materials (bookmarks, candy, buttons). David Motel will handle George J. Mitchell, Carrie LeVan will handle Albert S. Hall, and Sarah Le Van will assist with both. Flyers will be updated by David and Sarah Le Van.

This Year’s Calendar

• Spirit Wear: Available year-round, with flyers distributed during the open house.
• Spirit Week: October 7th, with homecoming activities on October 11th and 12th.
• PTA Meetings: First Thursday of the month, with the first meeting on September 12th at George J. Mitchell School.
• Spirit Week Themes:
  • Monday: PJ Day
  • Tuesday: Sports Day
  • Wednesday: Twin Day
  • Thursday: Tie Dye Day
  • Friday: Spirit Day (Purple and White)
• October Events:
  • PTA Meeting at Hall School on October 3rd, 6:30-7:30 PM
  • Pumpkin Patch (details to be confirmed)
  • Bingo Night at George J. Mitchell on October 16th

Yearbook Committee

• Christina White will assist with the yearbook again this year. Volunteers for each grade are needed, with more committee members expected in November.

Additional Items

• Staff Appreciation: Sarah Staffiere proposed a $500 budget for gift cards for staff appreciation throughout the school year.
• Event Buttons: Carrie LeVan will create buttons for upcoming PTA events.
• Promotional Poster: Danielle Brag will help create a poster showcasing PTA activities and fund allocations.
