The Waterville Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) recently hosted an unforgettable community carnival that brought smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of bouncing to our local families. With a gigantic fifty-foot bounce house as the centerpiece, courtesy of Tooney Looney Rentals from Skowhegan, the event was nothing short of spectacular.
A Day of Fun and Frolic
The carnival was a hit with games galore, including the ever-popular Frog Flipper game, generously donated by our neighbors at Educare. Children and adults alike were seen flipping frogs and scoring points, all in the spirit of good fun and community togetherness.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers
We couldn’t have pulled off such a successful event without the dedication of our amazing volunteers. A heartfelt thank you goes out to every single person who contributed their time and energy. Your efforts helped create a day filled with joy and community bonding.
Supporting Our Teachers and Students
The best part? All the funds raised from the carnival are set to fund grants for our teachers in September. These grants are crucial in enhancing the quality of education at our schools by providing extra resources and educational materials for all our wonderful students.
A Community Effort
The success of our carnival is a testament to the strength and unity of our community. We are profoundly grateful for the support from:
- Delta Ambulance, for their vigilant presence ensuring our safety.
- The Waterville Fire Department, for their readiness to protect and serve.
- The Waterville Public Library, for nurturing a culture of learning and curiosity.
- Mayor Mike Morris, for his leadership and commitment to our city’s enrichment.
- The Waterville Opera House, for their contribution to the arts and community engagement.
- Colby Art Museum and Waterville Creates, for inspiring creativity and artistic expression.
- Lisa Covey, for generously providing books that open new worlds for our children.
- Educare Parent Ambassadors, for their dedication to educational excellence.
- The Waterville Police Department, for ensuring a safe and secure environment.
- Rita’s Catering Food Truck, for serving up delicious treats that delighted our taste buds.
- Central Maine Motors and Woodland’s Senior Living of Waterville, for their generous donations that made this event possible.
- The Waterville Opera House and Maine Film Center, for donating tickets as prizes, adding excitement to our coloring contest.
Special recognition goes to Mayor Mike Morris for orchestrating these collaborations, which were crucial to our carnival’s success.
To each and every one of you who played a part, big or small, we offer our heartfelt thanks. Your contributions have not only made our carnival a day to remember but also strengthened the bonds within our community.
Looking Forward
As we reflect on a day filled with joy, the Waterville PTA is more energized than ever to continue our mission. We eagerly anticipate our next gathering and the opportunity to celebrate our strong, vibrant community once again.
Thank you to all the families, volunteers, and local organizations who came together to make the carnival a memorable event. Your participation and support are the heartbeat of our success and the future of our children’s education.
