Teacher/Staff Appreciation:
- Holiday Gift Ideas: Approved $1,500 budget last month.
- Suggestions:
- Sarah Staffiere: $5 gift card for 175-188 people.
- Carrie LeVan: Golden ticket candy bars with some having heftier gift cards from Waterville Chamber of Commerce.
Hot chocolate bar was another idea but would require a lot of labor and scheduling. So, we’re going to go with Golden Ticket for the prizes and variety. Carrie LeVan believes that we could maybe match the gift card donation. Sarah LeVan will follow up with some local businesses in the area.
- Plan: Golden ticket theme with 188 total staff members. Volunteers will wrap the bars. Each Golden ticket will be assigned a number and match with whatever gift card we assigned the number to.
- Sarah LeVan: Get gift cards.
- Carrie LeVan: Get chocolate bars from Sam’s Club. $200 allocated for candy and wrapping.

Albert Hall 5th Grade Science Fair Initiative:
At the Parent Assembly, where we will give the info about the science club/fair where they’ll learn and complete their science projects or students can also do it independently at home PTA will pay for all the supplies but the parents are committing to help them complete the project. We will also have them sign a form to have them commit since the PTA is paying for all these supplies. First week of February is when the club/ project work will start. In January we will pound out the details closer to the date. The Science Fair will take place in week of April 22 this is not a firm timeline just yet but around then.
- Point Person: Carrie.
- Funding: $500 from 5th grade enrichment fund + $500 from Central Maine Education Consortium.
- Assistance: NorthEast Labs (pending response), if not this year then next.
- Assemblies: Parent and Student.
- Timeline: Club/project work starts in February. Science Fair in the week of April 22.
Albert Hall Chess Club Request:
Torin Smith and Connor Pellerin joined us on the call and gave us a quick rundown of how chess is amazing for the kids that have joined the club, which, the interest in the club was much larger than expected! Woohoo! They’re trying to make the setting professional so these small few items this would keep the passion of the kids going.

- $38.50: 5 analysis-sized chess sets.
- $88.64: 16 chess bags.
- $41.70: 30 chess books.
- $120: Annual Diamond Membership from Chess.com.

- Outcome: Voted on and approved.
Albert Hall Requests:
Aaron Myler and Dana Osgood from WCSH6 are coming to present to Albert Hall on Jan 8th. AHS requesting the PTA donate a t-shirt or sweatshirt to them as a thank you gift.

Elizabeth Jibar is a local artist, she runs an art gallery on silver street, civil rights club in Albert Hall would go to her art gallery to screen print with the club, Elizabeth would love to show them the ropes starting in January. Tabatha and Elizabeth will come together to brainstorm on working it out.
